John Charles (“Charlie”) Wolohan

John Charles (“Charlie”) Wolohan, age 89, of Gladwin, MI, and Venice, FL, passed on Jan. 29, 2024. He died at his home in Venice after a long illness. The funeral mass for Mr. Wolohan will be held at 12 p.m. on April 25 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin. Visitation will be held at the church at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin.

He was born on April 25, 1934, to Thomas and Charlotte (nee Parshall) Wolohan of Gladwin. He married the former Darlene Bailey of Gladwin on Nov. 24, 1956, and they had five children.

Mr. Wolohan had a long career in the retail lumber yard business, starting out in Gladwin at the Wolohan family’s grainery business, and later serving for Wickes Lumber Co. and Wolohan Lumber Co. at several locations in the Midwest.
